Where Memories Begin

Many years ago, my parents began their love story on the shores of Cuba, honeymooning in a humble little cottage by the sea. My father, a poet at heart, captured the magic of those days in his verses, immortalizing their joy in a tender poem he called “La Casita Blanca”—the Little White House. Even now, when they read his words, their eyes glisten with memories of that first chapter of their life together.  

Decades later, fate brought me to my own great love. I met my wife, and together we found ourselves drawn to the sun-kissed beaches of Sanibel Island. With youthful optimism, I promised her that one day we would have our own "Casita Blanca" by the sea—a sanctuary where our story could unfold.  

That promise blossomed into reality. Over the years, our family grew, and with it, so did our dream. Today, we call our cherished home "Shell Sunrise"—a gateway location to Fort Myers Beach, Bungee Beach, and all the beaches of Sanibel Island whispers of  the laughter of three generations, and every sunset feels like a love letter written across the sky.
